What We Believe

At GraceWay, we are a Bible-based church. This means we build all of our beliefs and our lifestyle on the explicit truths and timeless principles found in God's Word. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the ultimate authority for salvation and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

Fundamental Doctrine

We believe in the biblical pattern of full salvation, which is founded on a life-changing experience with Jesus Christ. This experience includes:
Repentance: Turning away from sin and toward God.
Water Baptism: Being baptized by full immersion in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. (Acts 2:4, 37-39 and Romans 6:3-4.)

God

We believe in one true, living, and eternal God. He has revealed Himself to humanity in three primary manifestations: as our Father, through His Son Jesus Christ in redemption, and as the Holy Ghost.
Jesus Christ is God made manifest in the flesh. He is not merely a prophet or a teacher; He is the fullness of the Godhead in bodily form, fully God and fully man (Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16). Our belief in the oneness of God is rooted in the Scriptures (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6).

Sin and Salvation

The Bible is clear: all have sinned and need salvation (Romans 3:23). Salvation is a gift from God, given by grace through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (Romans 3:24-25; Ephesians 2:8-9).

Christian Living

As followers of Christ, we are called to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:28-31). This love is expressed through a holy life, both inwardly and outwardly, and through joyful worship of God. We believe the supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including divine healing, are active in the church today                 (2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10).

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God proclaiming His gospel.

Resurrection

We eagerly await the return of Jesus Christ to catch away His church   (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). The end will culminate in the final resurrection and judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, while the unrighteous will face eternal death (Revelation 20:11-15).
